Voices of Sebei Survey Report

Data Collection Report by Sebei National Youth Movement

Sebei National Youth Movement (SNYM) presents Voices of Sebei, a community-generated evidence report capturing the lived experiences, concerns, and priorities of people across the Sebei sub-region, including Kween, Bukwo, and Kapchorwa districts.

The report is based on interviews with 1,963 community members conducted in November 2024 using a quantitative approach. It documents citizen perspectives on security, disasters and emergency response, land access, service delivery, livelihoods, governance, and regional inclusion. The findings highlight critical gaps, patterns of neglect, and areas where government and development interventions are falling short or showing progress.

This study was undertaken to ensure that decisions affecting Sebei communities are informed by evidence from the ground, rather than assumptions. By centering community voices, the report strengthens accountability, supports equitable development planning, and provides a credible reference for government institutions, development partners, civil society actors, other stakeholders and the media.
